A concrete coating is not paint. We grind the slab down to clean profile, fill the cracks and spalls, then broadcast a flake system and seal it with polyurethane. The result is a floor you can hose off, that does not yellow in the sun and that holds its color through a Florida summer.
We use polyurethane rather than epoxy on almost every job. Epoxy is cheaper to buy and it is genuinely good indoors, out of the light. Outdoors it chalks, yellows and scratches. Polyurethane is about five times stronger, it is UV stable, it resists pool chemicals and driveway oil, and it lasts materially longer. On a Florida pool deck or driveway that difference shows up within the first two summers.
